Subject: Dragon Butterfly

Origins: Unknown. Presumably from the Far East of Asia much like The Butterfly Dragon, Heylyn Yates (who is also known as Ai Yuanlin Ying).

Height: 5'10"
Weight: 145 lbs
Physique: Top physical shape

Description: She dresses extremely provocatively, almost to the point of being a caricature of what some might find to be seductive. She can often be found wearing an open top shirt, the center of her chest exposed down to the naval. Her lower half is adorned by a short skirt and high heels. Her entire body below the neck is covered by tattoos, each depicting some aspect of her own life or her eidos and world view. Many are written in Traditional Chinese, Japanese with some in English. She is also tattooed from the neck down with "scales" that are rumored to become hardened when she is threatened.

Rumor also has it that she is a grand wizard master level mixed martial artist though nobody who has crossed her has lived to tell. Witness accounts say that she easily crushes even the heartiest of foes despite the odds and even their overwhelming numbers. Her demeanor differs from that of the lady referred to as " The Butterfly Dragon". The Dragon lady seems focused on spite and vengeance where as reports indicate that the Butterfly Dragon is a protector of sorts though that as of yet is unverified.

Further rumors indicate that the Dragon lady is often accompanied by a mysterious floating apparition which authorities believe to be a bird or other avian though there have been reports of it's length being as long as fifteen meters. There are currently no avians on record whose length is fifteen meters.

Warning: If you encounter this Woman, do not approach or attempt to confront her. Upon sighting her leave the vicinity immediately and notify authorities of her whereabouts.

Keep in mind that Heylyn Yates (aka Ai Yuanlin Ying pictured to the right) who is a heroic leading character from the first book and the central role of the second book is a Chinese immigrant with a heritage that ties her to much of the Far East of Asia. She is also the character from which the book is titled.

For The People Of Belgium And For The Ford Family

The news today about what occurred was very sad and indeed frightening that life can be so fragile and be gone at a moment's notice. I could never picture the kind of person who'd coordinate the plan to build a set of explosive devices and devise the means to get them undetected into the midst of a busy airport. You might read about that kind of thing in a book or see it in an action movie but there it is make believe. Sometimes a little bit of a social mirror too albeit a sometimes skewed one.

The more it happens the less it makes sense but the more it can be seen as to the intent and motives of such persons who might do something as such. Some might see themselves as doing "God's work" and punishing the wicked for hubris, greed, gluttony <insert sin here> etc... but to do take up arms and to do such a thing is to deny a belief in any God so it appears once again to be hypocrisy and to unsettle those who might nest next to each other. I mean who'd want a world where the Hatfields and the McCoys could live as neighbors without so much as a scuffle with one another? Never mind the diverse variety of people and beliefs we have in this world living next to one another without pitching rocks at each other. So such acts are a way of making us distrust one another and sometimes even to make the victim of such an attack into the bad by way of reaction.

After all, if your reaction is far greater in damage than was caused to you, then there is a debt for a future generation of the original victims that they will likely be swindled into paying creating yet more resent and further conflict. To create a martyr that results directly in response to such an attack because that martyr will either fuel further violence or impose a social debt (sometimes called the Casus Belli) against the nation or people that retaliate. It guarantees that the conflict will continue in the future and that the price of retaliation is debt upon the future generations of the victims because its the victims who end up retaliating.

That still doesn't bring back the lost life or heal the wounds but sometimes understanding your foes is the key to protecting yourself from further damage. From stepping into the same trap over and over again at the cost of trust. I'm very sorry for the people of Belgium tonight and will be for some time. I hope that the energy and momentum in the next few days that might lead to retaliation is weathered with wisdom and perhaps by heeding what advice I've set forth here for to react is to play right into their trap. Remember that you are the victims.

What should happen if it hasn't already as a an immediate response to this situation is a message from all Mosques indicating a stance against extremist violence and complete support of the people of Belgium in both official word and deed. Being part of a secular society means the understanding that we live under the rule of law which hopefully lacks the kind of prejudice the bombers had that resulted in the bombings in the first place. Protect the lives of the Belgian people as a whole and not with bias based upon culture or belief. Mostly to ensure that this sort of thing doesn't keep happening as it has in Paris, London and other centres across Europe and Asia. My thoughts are with you and will be for some time.

For Former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford

Another loss in the same day was that of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. It struck me kind of hard despite our differences in attitude I thought of him as most did, someone who represented the average Torontonian and was prepared to do some of the dirty work to tighten up Toronto's fiscal budget. No small task during the financial crunch of the years which he took office. He was charismatic in a sort of quirky way and had the approach that he was like loud, boiserous and fun loving Uncle one might have (before the crack scandal).

One of the things that saddened me about his situation was related to the scandal around his crack cocaine use (something I've always stood against for the damage it caused in some communities since the 1990s). He'd obviously become a victim of manipulation by his fellow gangster dealers as well and despite the fact that I don't use crack cocaine myself, I am very familiar with how they operate and have done battle with them numerous times. A bunch who like to manipulate or even attempt to "control" their victims and I believe he was a victim of just such a thing by way of his dealers and those who attempted to blackmail him with the video called the infamous Dixon bloods or Dorkhead bloods if you'd prefer.

Despite my stance against crack cocaine I really felt sorry for him when I saw a couple of his rants on television. Such a gang can affect people who don't use any narcotics whatsoever just as much as they can someone who does. They only need time and proximity to practice such a thing against their victims. I've been one myself at times as I said in doing battle with such groups. I did not see eye to eye with his views towards the Gay and Transgender community (I support the Gay and Transgender communities everywhere) but I saw a human being who'd become a victim of other dastardly forces in the city that must sooner or later be faced for the safety of the diversity in Toronto as well because it is forces as such that will polarize people one against the other.

By the way I speak as a Buddhist (perhaps to the shock of some) but as a Buddhist that represents the interests of all people. We all have our down times and times when we're not our best (I have such struggles many times a week). I'd prefer to see Rob Ford's legacy as his embrace of the Toronto team spirit, his willingness to take on the risky and difficult job of balancing a budget during a financial crisis and then overcoming substance abuse issues all in the sometimes unforgiving and discerning public eye. I saw his rants as clear evidence of his victimization but he still courageously managed to tackle that challenge every day. I didn't vote for you but I'll definitely miss you and my heart goes out to you and your family. Cancer is a merciless killer but not so nearly as merciless as the people who victimized you. Let's hope that both can be cured some day.

The Butterfly Dragon: Heroes Of Our Own - The Full Edition is being readied for its official release on September 9, 2015.

Complete with many extras and additional chapters including a backstory for Heylyn's life before starting West Meet East International and her first romance. Valerie's life before meeting Torman and during their relationship. Alicia's research from the start of the SY-349 program and her first few nights out alone as the super lady: Night Style. The origins of the Field and Heylyn's very first meeting with Weltherwithsp as a child.

All this and in accordance with my plan for every sale, 25% of the total return will be distributed equally amongst the following charities:

The Reeve Foundation (Research Cures For Paralysis)
The ALS Society Of BC (Lou Gehrig's Disease)

The totals will be tracked here on this site. Profits from my books will pay me for my time and be reinvested continuously back into these properties including A Lady's Prerogative, Welcome To The Pleroma, Stories From The End, Shhhh! Digital and this one here, The Butterfly Dragon. Each is being developed into its own independent creative property and each will have the same promise and that is that 25% of the total return will go to charity represented by the context of the book (or software as Shhhh! Digital is actually a software company I started in which the 25% of the return from my flagship product go to The Sick Kids Hospital). It's all of nothing right now because 25% of nothing is nothing. That will change. It just takes time and perseverance.

All of these charities are real world charities that represent what the SY-349 was developed for in the book. Let's help real life researchers and heroes to make Alicia's fictional research a reality.

As said before, this is not a scam nor is it a get rich quick scheme. This is art helping to make the world a better place by empowering real life researchers through the proceeds of their art. Furthermore, when and if students read something like the first book in the series, they might overcome their own limitations in regard to self consciousness, realize their real beauty as people and pursue their dreams and change the world just like Alicia and Heylyn do.

I expect that in the future, a link will be found between aesthetic perception, cognition and the placebo effect and that real life researchers will be able to model that as a factor into their treatments and cures having a real effect upon a cure based upon aesthetic perception. In reality.

So this is really our way of helping that and real life well founded scientific research and potential cures to become a reality.

As I've said, I am committed to these stories and have been since my youth so this is not a get in, get rich and get out quick scheme. I'd like to see these stories have that kind of an impact upon our world and so we as artists and researchers can leave the world a little bit better than it was when we arrived.

More to come from Dragon Butterfly too, and that book will be going through a metamorphic transformation before it is released as an ebook based upon its obvious controversial subject matter. The first draft however will remain the same as it is published here because it is and will become a very important social statement in the chapters to come.

Announcing A Lady's Prerogative: The Full Edition

At 4 AM EST, A Lady's Prerogative: The Full Edition hit the book shelves at Amazon.com. As promised with each and every one of my books, 25% of what I make on each sale, will be donated to charity.

The Full Edition contains content not available in the online edition including new chapters and character back stories and new events that were not written about in the freely available version of the book as it is the first draft edition and also as promised, the first draft will always be available freely from this blog. When you buy the Full Edition ebook, you'll not only be supporting the author who wrote the book, but charities related to the book's plot elements. Much of the financing (based upon my budget allowances after the charities have been paid and financial responsibilities have been met) will be reinvested back into the series to pay for art and expand the media types covering the story's universe.

The Full Edition of A Lady's Prerogative: Wounded Aerth will be released in as little as four to six months, pending new additions and back story content and even new characters. Details such as the story of Tanara Milaise, Tobias Mesky and even the formation of the hunters and their first quarry under Exeter and of course Alivale's place as the headquarters for the Culdar Rath in 1654 are among the stories and chapters being added to the book.

The Butterfly Dragon: Heroes Of Our Own - The Full Edition, will be available as the next ebook that I release for sale on Amazon and it too will contain a lot of added content including a romantic back story for Heylyn along with stories of her path through the martial arts, Valerie's early years up until meeting Torman, the year surrounding the invention of the SY-349 formula when Alicia first becomes the super hero Night Style and much more. As well it will support charity under the same arrangement and percentage upon each sale, of course targeting charities related to the plot. Likewise, finances based upon my own budget considerations will be reinvested back into the stories to pay for art (possibly even t-shirts or West Meet East clothing representing each of the characters from the story). There is a lot of possibility and of course it will operate under the same charitable donation model.

I hope that this takes off because I'd like to see both of these stories blossom into something big.

Day In The Life Of Starving Artist And Entrepreneur

9:10 AM Wake up... Brush out the cob webs from being harassed the night before...

9:30 AM Begin working on your day's agenda and goals... (Promo materials design in this case)

10:30 AM Get cleaned up and go to social services office to apply for benefits new card...

11:00 AM Get chewed on by the people trying to chip off whatever they can from you, who believe that anything that you accomplish comes from other people, so they try to steal it from you using the definitions of colours based upon the colours you wear and the colour of your eyes.

11:45 AM After fending off most of those doing so, attended to by polite office staff (some of whom have rarely had anyone stick up for the same principles). Possible risk though of having my identity swapped with that of someone else (in other words, when people ask who it was that defended those values, they'll say someone else rather than myself, probably making it into a competition fighting for the credit thereof).

12:00 PM Fight off the rest of the people (verbally though politely) who believe they've chipped off all of your good and are then trying to dump their bad onto you (most often related to crack cocaine and whatever other activities they can find to be of weight to you).

12:15 PM Get the card I applied for, once again by polite office staff. Once again perhaps the chance that the cult will swap your identity with that of someone else (its a collective who practice doing that daily and you literally might lose all of your good efforts). Its a cult that tries to take down individualists and "self serving types" or "SSTs" as they sometimes refer to them.

12:18 PM Recognize an old mainframe programmer that I knew from VLC (Videolink) years ago (long before I'd met Eugene and just when Lil and I had started going steady. They must have put him near me at the same time because yesterday, I talked about my experience in the early computer days. When I was 17/18, I was training as a programmer in the days before Windows (I actually talked about that). When I was 19, I was working as a tech. When I was 20, I was making a great cash ($20/hr). So between the ages of 17 and 23, I'd already had a full computer career in that time. That was between 1984 and 1991. The only reason that this cult do things like that is because they steal other people's lives. The details of other people's lives, they steal in teams. I've been revealing that as they do it. So if they can claim that someone else is controlling you, or that you're stealing the details of someone else's life, they can convince others to disbelieve other facts of your life. Another method of their theft of a person's life. I am not from Nova Scotia by the way. So when I saw the guy at the office, I kept quiet because in case he was someone important, I didn't want to give him away. I waited til I got a bit of a ways away to reveal that I remembered him. I have a near photographic memory when it comes to faces. The cult often puts people near you at waypoints in your life, that serve as the means to divert your accomplishments to someone else. This is part of their dualistic method of theft. They pit two people who were around each other in the same vicinity and give the good to the winner of this competition and the bad to the loser. They conduct illegal eavesdropping in order to know what there is to steal from the competitor(s) for this competition. I've been revealing their methodology every day for years since I found out they were using it to steal from me. So they keep their victim locked away (and poor usually) while stealing all of their efforts and accomplishments to fuel someone else's life using this ideology.

12:20 PM Thank the staff for the card, thank the tax payers for their investment in me (in a sort of rhetorical sense) that I pay for every day by representing our values pretty good most of the time.

Its mostly about being held hostage by "hate". Creating a debt in others by attacking one person surreptitiously until they react harshly, then turning it into a social debt that is paid back by burdening them with the load of others.

12:25 PM Ride back on my bicycle fending off people all along the way, from the side walks and even their cars who take part in this daily activity and who are fighting to trade my identity to someone else on the basis of team membership or blood, while giving me someone else's identity and reputation completely.

12:30 PM Secretly blog it in an unpublished post.

12:35 PM Plan the rest of the day's efforts and think about how to pay nearly $2000 dollars in copyright applications and publishing efforts on a $280 a month salary, while being stolen from by a cult that steals from you by swapping you identity with that of others, so that they get the credit for what you do, and you get the blame for what they do according to whoever is the "good" side and whoever is the "bad" side.

12:45 PM Marvel at the fact that you've deciphered one of their biggest secret methodologies by yourself and consider what your going to do with the rest of the day so that in the future, you don't have to rely on social service money by creating a licensable creative property that might provide your living one day.

Introducing Monique, Heylyn and Alicia

Well after a day of a lot of hate attacks from my neighbours, and after a rant (they usually attack in numbers after I release something trying to imply they were "controlling me" into creating what I'd created), after a night and afternoon of my ranting their abuse, I managed to turn the energy around and produce these:

The first group photo from left to right of Monique Defleur, Heylyn Yates (aka Ai Yuanlin Ying) and Alicia Westin all created in Daz 3D Studio. Heylyn's model is 60% ShareCG user AiMei (amy_aimei). I'd like to thank her for the use of the model in this character morph.

The Alicia design is coming along well, though the costume is going to take a bit. I was thinking something with a stylish trench coat (much like a lab coat but dark violet), a tight body suit with some relief work on it resembling hardened kevlar. Most of the colours would be dark violet and dark gray to black. Her boots would be tight sport boots, laced to just below her knees. She'd wear a mask much like Heylyn's only much smaller.

Here, I've fleshed out Monique with a few facial close ups. She's an aspiring model with super model potential, though she's her own worst enemy at the beginning of The Butterfly Dragon II: Dragon Butterfly. She has a nice petite figure, that presents her client's fashions well on the fashion runway.

Heylyn of course is more present behind the scenes during the daily efforts taking place at West Meet East International. As a designer, she spends more time working on her designs and coordinating some of the shoots. She`s very beautiful and well centered (a result of her early home life and martial arts training). As such she handles stress very well.

During the late afternoon and evening she's usually off exercising (perhaps at her Karate classes) or playing tennis with Monique to break the day's stress. At night, she patrols the city as The Butterfly Dragon. One of her powers is flight, which is possible via her aura (a glowing energy surrounding her while around her back it appears as undulating butterfly wings). Her aura produces a natural field that can suppress or amplify the charged particles surrounding her, enabling her to propel herself through the air at will.

Heylyn Yates (aka Ai Yuanlin Ying)

Alicia Westin is the lab researcher who creates the SY-349 formula at the Tynan And Associates funded research lab while investigating possible treatments for muscular and tissue degenerative diseases. The treatment takes the form of a pill and a spray bottle application, which is applied to worn clothing or even jewelry. The effects of the pill and the sprayed formula imbue the wearer with abilities or depending upon how the clothing is fashioned, cure a variety of health issues (based upon the modifications to the chemistry of the pill itself as well). Alicia discovers this and tries it first on a night wear suit Heylyn gave her as a special gift. Alicia tries it and becomes Night Style, a crime fighting superhero using the formula on herself as its first test subject.

One of the first effects it has, is to modify Alicia`s physique, so when she starts to don the suit, her body slowly reduces in size (she`s a little bit heavier and slightly conscious of her weight). By the time the effect has completed its modifications, she has the body of an olympic athlete and the reflexes of a cat. The more she wears the costume, the more permanent the effect is upon her body though there`s a price as she later finds out.

Anyway, I`m off to fend off the last of the gremlins and then I might continue work on some more character designs, watch a movie or play a video game before calling it a night.
